Who is our client?
Our client is a growing and reputable Distribution business and they are currently expanding rapidly. In this challenging and rewarding position you will manage a team of circa 30 to include Senior Contract Managers, Account Managers and Administrators. My client urgently requires an individual who will manage the day-to-day relationships with multiple stakeholders / clients.
The role requirements
For this role you will need to demonstrate previous account / contract management expertise gained in a similar, customer focused, FMCG / Retail / Distribution environment.
You will provide relationship and account management, as you look to ensure the business is the preferred provider within their portfolio of clients.
You will ensure the business maintains a long standing professional relationship with each customer within the portfolio.
You will continuously look to develop the relationship with clients across all levels including directors, senior management, and contract owners.
You will attend monthly / quarterly client review meetings and also deliver presentations to existing clients and potential new business.
You will manage contracts to ensure that the business is meeting all the agreed commercial and service level agreements required and that the client is meeting their commitments in return.
You will look to maintain and further develop excellent customer relationships based on timely, consistent and effective communication through negotiation and a consultative approach.

You have demonstrable experience in a similar role account managing large, omni-channel retail clients
You are able to demonstrate the ability to develop strong and lasting commercial relationships at all levels.
You have a passion for encouraging teamwork, an innovative approach to leadership and developing new ways of improving performance through your own high achievement drive.
You have excellent negotiating and influencing skills coupled with commercial awareness.
You are used to working in a fast paced and highly pressurised FMCG / Retail Distribution environment with an excellent knowledge of all aspects of retail customer services.
You have the ability to be able to think and act both strategically and tactically.
You create a dynamic and high-performance work environment and develop others through coaching and development.
