Building new long-term partnerships as they continue to grow is a key focus for the team. In conjunction with this focus, there is now an exciting opportunity for a Sales and Estimating Engineer to join the business, helping to build on their existing success, and further strengthen our client’s position nationally moving forward.

The role requirements

To develop and implement the business sales plan in conjunction with the sales manager.

Research, contact and meet with new prospects in order to establish new accounts/relationships and grow the company’s portfolio of business.

Ensure the business generation meets the company order and margin targets.

Generate and prepare new quotations in conjunction with the existing sales team to support the company order and gross margin requirement.

Undertake the necessary sales activity, prospecting, quotations and orders to meet personal sales target.

The above activities are to be coordinated with the sales manager and other sales team members in order to maximise the overall business opportunity.

What sort of people are we looking for?

Work in conjunction with the sales manager and managing director to develop and implement a rolling sales plan, including forecasts, pipeline and budgets.

Demonstrate a customer focused work ethic working as part of the overall business unit.

Identify individual and sales team targeted key accounts and develop clear account plans to win.

Work with estimating and design team obtaining, completing and winning existing and new tenders.

Organise and participate in appropriate sales and technical meetings to increase our business profile.

Prepare required monthly sales reports and provide accurate sales forecasts to the sales manager and managing director on a monthly basis or when required.

Understand and report on the marketplace and competitor trends when required.

Promote and attend customer focused entertaining and events providing the functions/entertainment are approved by the Sales Manager/Managing Director.

Work in tandem with our marketing team to ensure all marketing activities events are aligned with our sales strategy.

Work with the operational management team to ensure satisfactory installation of systems driving customer satisfaction.

Ensure a professional and cohesive approach is maintained and displayed with all company employees, suppliers and customers.

Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures.

Be fully conversant and compliant with environmental health and safety procedures.

Fully comply with all quality, environmental health and safety directives.
