An overview of the role
Our client are looking to appoint a Logistics Contract Manager who will manage day-to-day relationships with multiple stakeholders / suppliers. In this challenging and rewarding position you will provide effective management ensuring achievement of service level KPI’s and budgetary constraints.
The role requirements
For this role you will need to demonstrate contract management experience gained in a similar, customer focused, fast paced and highly pressurised FMCG/retail logistics environment.
You will provide leadership, management to staff, ensuring that depots achieve the required level of performance and customer service.
You will be accountable for proactively managing supplier relationships acting as the key point of contact for all matters.
You will drive continuous improvement across several sites ensuring that requirements relating to safety, health, environment and quality are being fully implemented.
You will provide transport and distribution solutions to customers through regular communication and meetings.
You will look to maintain and further develop excellent customer relationships based on timely, consistent and effective communication.
What sort of people are we looking for?
You have demonstrable experience of contract management in a transport / distribution environment.
You have a passion for encouraging teamwork, an innovative approach to leadership and developing new ways of improving performance.
You hold a National or International CPC qualification.
You are used to working in a fast paced and highly pressurised FMCG / retail logistics environment with an excellent knowledge of all aspects of transport and legislation.
You have the ability to be able to think and act both strategically and tactically.
You are inquisitive and have a proactive yet methodical approach to your work.
You are able to make new ideas and initiatives work.
