Our client is a growing and reputable Retail Logistics business and they are currently expanding rapidly. In this challenging and rewarding position you will provide support to the Asst GM, ensuring efficient running of the warehouse operations team and you will be instrumental in supporting the development of a dynamic and high performing work environment.

For this role you will need to clearly demonstrate previous people management experience gained in a similar, customer focused, fast paced and highly pressurised fmcg/retail logistics environment.

You will provide leadership, management to staff, ensuring that the warehouse supervisory teams achieve the required level of performance and customer service.

You will be accountable for recruiting, inducting, appraising and training the warehouse team.

You will develop, implement and review Standard Operating Procedures for all operations that fall within the remit of your role.

You will develop a culture of respect and high performance within your team.

You will be responsible for the control of stock and warehouse queries in the operations area.

You have demonstrable experience of warehouse management in an retail / distribution environment along with WMS knowledge.

You have a passion for encouraging team work, an innovative approach to leadership and developing new ways of improving performance.

You are used to working in a fast paced and highly pressurised fmcg / retail logistics environment with an excellent knowledge of Health and Safety in a warehousing / distribution environment.

You have the ability to be able to think and act accordingly in light of any situations arising.

You are inquisitive and have a proactive yet methodical approach to your work.

You are able to make new ideas and initiatives work.
