Who is our client?
Our client is a growing and reputable 3rd Party Logistics business, specialising in the FMCG / Retail industry and they are currently expanding rapidly. You will have demonstrable site management experience in a fast paced warehouse / distribution / logistics environment and can win hearts and minds whilst implementing and managing change.
They urgently require the need to appoint a Site General Manager to manage the site and several key retail contracts.
The role requirements
The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience in a similar environment, ideally from a Food / FMCG / Retail Operational, Warehousing and Distribution environment.
You are a strong leader with demonstrable experience in Distribution Operations and are Commercially aware.
You can demonstrate previous budget & P&L responsibility.
You have an appreciation and understanding of Lean / Six Sigma / 5S operations
Ideally you are CPC qualified and can also demonstrate a proven track record of coaching and nurturing talent alongside developing a focussed work culture / environment.
Being a strong communicator is essential as you will approach pressure situations in a calm, measured and consistent manner.
You have a friendly, flexible and approachable demeanour as you lead by example in this focussed and driven distribution environment.

You will accurately plan and allocate staffing requirements according to the scheduled work load.
You will manage daily the P&L for all contracted / outsourced operations, achieving targets etc
You will manage and control Daily Planning & Stock activities ensuring that targets are met
You will look to increase customer satisfaction across the various contracts, identifying any process and procedural improvements
