Who is our client?
Our client is a large parcels distribution business and they are currently undertaking an exciting transformation programme across the entire business infrastructure and need support through the peak period that is approaching. There are looking to improve its operational performance as well as compliance for its clients. You will have demonstrable operational experience and can provide business analytical and investigatory analysis to understand the root cause and resolution.
This is a fantastic opportunity to put yourself in the shop window during an exciting period of change and growth for my client. You must be willing to work an early or late shift (6-2 or 2-10).
What sort of candidate are we looking for?
You are a passionate, resilient and operationally aware candidate with demonstrable expertise in providing analytical support to operational teams.
You have demonstrable business analytical experience in a similar environment i.e. Transport, Retail or Distribution.
You are a natural negotiator with the ability to influence across all levels of stakeholder / contacts.
You understand continuous process improvement and can provide reports to clients and the wider business.
You have excellent IT skills with experience in all Microsoft applications
You are happy to work in an environment that will include shift/rota work including weekends from time to time
In this role you will Provide analytical support to the operational team to understand root cause and identify solutions
You will provide specific Sort/Transport forecasting trends and assist in driving process change
You will champion continuous process improvement across operations
You will provide reports to clients and the wider business in a timely and consistent approach
You will escalate issues and support resolution as well as contributing to the overall retention of clients
You will help the business in understanding and managing volume flow into the business by working with S&OP and Commercial teams
You will monitor operational activity across the business on a 24/7 period, providing additional monitoring for during peak periods.
You will provide data and host various business review calls as well as delivering planning outputs for the Operational Planning & Strategy teams
