Who is our client?

Our client is a growing and reputable 3rd Party Logistics business, specialising in the FMCG / Retail industry and they are currently expanding rapidly. If you have demonstrable HR experience in a fast paced warehouse / distribution / logistics environment ideally and you can win hearts and minds and influence stakeholders whilst implementing the business strategy then this may be the position for you. Our client urgently require to appoint this role which is site based but will also require occasional travel to Northants.

The role requirements

You will work in partnership with relevant department managers (transport/warehouse), and you will create and drive the site and people plan.

You will influence the development of business solutions; working with managers to design and deliver the people plan.

You will highlight long term resource requirements and manage talent plans.

You will provide growth and the development of talent and coach, guide and support line managers in the management of people.

You will develop strong and effective working relationships with the HR team based across the other UK sites.

You will champion staff engagement throughout the site and have a sound knowledge of what it will take to engage, develop and motivate them.

You will act as a “go-to” person for employees and management, providing guidance and counsel on a variety of issues.

What sort of people are we looking for?

The successful candidate will have demonstrable HR experience in ideally a similar distribution environment.

You have the ability to build strong working relationships.

You have knowledge of HR best practices as well as experience of successful resource planning.

You have excellent employment law knowledge (keeping up to date on developments).

You have experience and knowledge of HR information systems.

You are a CIPD member with ideally a degree in any subject or of graduate calibre.
