Who is our client?
Our client is a growing and reputable 3rd Party Logistics business, specialising in the FMCG / Retail industry and they are currently expanding rapidly. They are looking to Immediately appoint a Warehouse Shift Manager ASAP. You have demonstrable experience in a fast paced warehouse / distribution / logistics environment. You will organise and efficiently run the shift to achieve daily warehouse schedule and despatch targets.
The role requirements
You will effectively plan and manage the Shift as directed by the General Manager.
You will also plan the workload of team, ensuring that work is delegated to the team efficiently.
You will seek to achieve KPI's based on productivity, quality and cost, providing commentary and improvement plans where KPI's are not achieved.
You will develop a culture of respect and high performance within your team.
You will develop strong management capability through effective performance management, coaching, mentoring and the development of teams and individuals.
You will complete all team performance reviews for direct reports, accurately and within timeframe.
You will ideally develop robust succession plans for all key roles on shift.
You will control absence levels on shift by robust and consistent application of absence management processes.
You will promote core values and act as a role model for teams and individuals.

You will ensure HSE targets are reached at all times.
The successful candidate will have demonstrable warehouse experience, ideally as a Supervisor / Team Leader or in a similar role.
You have experience of managing & leading a team of staff on shift.
You have a strong emphasis on performance management and performance improvement.
You are flexible with the ability to work on your own initiative.
You possess excellent IT skills, with good knowledge of Warehouse Systems.
You are willing to pitch in to help get work completed and you are not afraid to get your hands dirty.
You have good working knowledge of current legislation as well as health and safety requirements.
You have excellent communication skills and can demonstrate team leadership qualities.
