Who is our client?
Our client, a highly respected name in the print and packaging sector supplying various luxury brands with printed carton board packaging and commercial print. Established over 60 years, this print and packaging business has constantly reinvested and kept upto date with the ever changing market to ensure they remain market leaders.
Our client is now looking to take on an experienced Quality Assurance/Health & Safety Manager to ensure customer requirements are met with the highest standards whilst maintaining all current health and safety legislation. Based at their busy manufacturing plant in West Yorkshire, this role is pivotal in their growth plans.
The role requirements
You will maintain and develop the current quality system ensuring compliance to ISO9001, FSC, META/SEDEX and BRC.
You will be responsible for ISO 14001, keeping upto date with current environmental legislation.
You will analyse and report historic data and report to senior management
You will chair the H&S committee and report any updates to legislation.
You will manage the waste management policy.
You will liaise with all internal departments to ensure all areas are compliant on Quality, Health and Safety and Environmental.
What sort of people are we looking for?
You must have a solid career history working in a similar QA/H&S environment - ideally print manufacturing.
You must be a good communicator, with the ability to work with, inspire and lead a range of different people within the client organisation.
You must possess a strong ability to build relationships.
You must be capable of carrying out technical consultations, chairing meetings and reporting findings
You will be IT literate and be able to learn new systems.
