Their brands are respected for their quality and authenticity through working with their trade partners. Due to continued expansion, our client are now looking to take on a Technical Manager.

The role requirements

To manage Bought in Goods Technical functions.

Develop robust, safe and efficient processes and procedures.

To deliver quality products and to meet required customer and BRC accreditation standards.

Manage relationships with key customers and suppliers, including management of supplier approval, visits, audits and customer complaints.

Manage products and implementation of practical solutions to compliance requirements linking cost effective compliance and risk mitigation.

Carry out routine quality assessments.

Establish and maintain procedures so as to ensure products are manufactured, packed and distributed to agreed specifications.

What sort of people are we looking for?

Food manufacturing / processing experience > 5 years.

BRC (Agents & Brokers).

Experience in Food Legislation UK & EU, particularly food labelling regulations.

Experience of maintaining quality and compliance over a wide range of long shelf life products (Oil, Flour, Canned Goods, Coconut, Sauces, food packaging etc.)

Experience in managing food safety risks.

Good interpersonal and communication skills at all levels.

Flexible “Can Do” attitude.

Analytical, accurate and tenacious, highly organised.

Degree in Food Technology / Food Science or related subject.

Advanced HACCP and Advanced Food Hygiene.

Full UK Driving License.
