Who is our client?

Our client is a growing and reputable 3rd Party Logistics business who specialise in FMCG / Retail Distribution and they are currently expanding rapidly in this exciting period of sustained growth. In this newly created role you will be working alongside the Commercial team, focussing on managing and coordinating activity for multiple tender processes as well as Marketing activities. You will ideally have a creative flair combined with commercial writing skills as you may also get involved in collating internal marketing comms too.

The role requirements

You will manage and coordinate bid activity for the tender processes that the business pitches for.

You will produce high quality, written proposals that clearly articulate the value proposition of the business.

You will coordinate the completion of tender submissions ensuring that dates and deadlines are met.

You will seek to identify any relevant opportunities within target market sectors of the business.

You will develop and maintain a library of documentation that is relevant for any potential bids / tenders; through liaising with other departments and stakeholders.

You will also manage the businesses website and social media communications and create effective marketing campaigns.

You will attend relevant industry functions (association events and conferences), providing feedback and information on market and creative trends.

You will be also preparing high quality presentations, press releases as well as coordinating and produce the quarterly company newsletter.

What sort of people are we looking for?

The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience in a similar environment, with proven bid / tender writing skills and a creative flair for marketing.

You are a team worker, who is confident in dealing with people of all levels.

You can demonstrate previous “in-house” marketing exposure with the ability to develop market research and concepts.

You have up to date knowledge of the latest social media and networking tools for business.

Ideally you have the ability to absorb and analyse information quickly and accurately, plus the ability to manage multiple projects.

Being a strong communicator is essential as you will approach pressure situations in a calm, measured and consistent manner.

You have a friendly, flexible and approachable demeanour as you lead by example in this focussed and driven distribution environment.
