Our client is a major food manufacturing business operating out of a number of sites across the UK. A market leader in their field, they supply a broad range of products to all of the major retailers and they now have an opening in their Marketing team for a Category Executive. The role requirements
Reporting to the Category Manager, you will be part of a team developing category plans for key retailers by understanding consumer and market trends.
You will analyse market data and use category insight to develop your category knowledge and ensure the business and their customers are able to adapt to changing customer demands and meet the needs of consumers.
You will closely monitor category performance and track market trends, reporting your findings back to the business.
You will also have input on NPD briefs, contribute to developing promotional activity, and assist with merchandising opportunities.
What sort of people are we looking for?
This role would be ideal for a recent graduate or somebody looking to develop a role in category management and marketing.
You will ideally be educated to degree level, with at least one year’s experience in a category, commercial, marketing or NPD related position in food, drink or FMCG manufacturing.
Analytical with an eye for detail, you will be able to interpret data and will have experience of utilising and analysing market information (Kantar, Nielsen, Dunnhumby).
You will have strong communication skills and will be comfortable presenting data and market information to colleagues and attending customer meetings.
