As Director of I.T, you will be “implementing, running and maintaining first class IT Systems across the Business” and working alongside the CEO to develop an IT strategy that will deliver first class technology solutions across the business.
The role requirements
You will collaborate with the CEO and the senior executive team to effectively deliver the business strategy.
You will lead the business change portfolio through engagement with the business functions including pre-feasibility/evaluation of projects, project delivery, prioritising budgets and tracking financial benefits.
You will develop and execute the strategic IT applications roadmap.
You will promote and embed a risk management culture across the area providing a systematic approach to first line control that delivers effective systems and controls.
You will establish and maintain effective relationships and governance arrangements with senior internal and external stakeholders, particularly with significant outsourcers, intermediaries, business partners including IFA’s, third party service providers (whether internal or external) and key suppliers.
You will undertake on-going benchmarking of IT & Change against industry standards;
You will bring about and embed a culture of continuous improvement across the functions in response to changing customer and market trends to drive improved customer satisfaction and efficiency.
You will provide personal leadership to the team and be a role model for our behaviours and leadership brand. Responsible for the talent profile for the business so that relevant organisational and people capability and succession plans are in place.
As a regulated role, you will be expected to act with integrity, show due care, skill and intelligence at all times and pay proper and full regard to regulatory bodies.

You will have demonstrable experience of leading technology, ideally from a premium or lifestyle multi-channel retail environment.”
Experienced in managing a growing international team and large scale budgets.
Experienced in working with ESB’s, Web API’s and ERP integration.
Experienced in working within Service-oriented architecture (SOA).
Experienced in working with ESB’s, Web API’s and ERP integration.
You will have demonstrable management/leadership experience within a multinational organisation.
You should have previous experience of mainframe systems, technology and non-technology supplier management.
You will have demonstrable background of commercial metrics and dynamics and financial
management disciplines.
You will be able to change methodologies (Agile, iterative, waterfall, etc.). The ability to work on Agile, through sprints and scrum (and Kanban) is key.
Process efficiency methodologies, Robotics, Lean Process Management, Machine
Learning, etc.
Transforming service delivery environments and embedding culture change. Managing a
large backlog, delivering new features and change in an organised an optimal way.
You will have experience in developing a successful business strategy.
Experience with software supporting our stores (POS).
You will have hands-on software development experience.
Ideally you will have experience of a Startup environment.
You will have experience of working internationally, preferable within Europe and therefore understand the cultural differences.
You must be able to clearly describe and communicate job duties to those they supervise and lay out full plans to the management.
You are an expert in written and verbal communication as this is key to getting ideas across, as well as being assertive and results driven.
Must work like a leader and take responsibility - the market changes quickly, and new
developments may require a quick overhaul of the company’s strategy and short term
increased workload. Thus, the ideal candidate will be able to change strategies and
rethink conventional wisdom at any time.
You must have a “vision” and is able to implement this into strategies and operational activities.
You must have experience of running an ERP at the heart of the system architecture (Current ERP’s 3 - navision/ax 4/ax 12), the replacement is Navision 365.
E-Commerce - delivering the rapidly evolving technology ecosystem to support the commerce strategy (moving from hybris to SAP cloud commerce).
