Who is our client?

Our client are a leading, niche online retailer and well known throughout northern Europe having been in the market for over 70 years. They are looking to expand their online presence into new territories and in 2018 launched a brand new UK team to facilitate this global growth plan.

The role requirements

The core purpose of this role is to deliver convertible traffic to our client's multi channel business, to assist in developing their brand, to protect their brand and to increase Customer LTV. It is essential this role works in harmony with the Ecommerce and Retail teams to deliver growth in profitable revenue for the business.

You will support the Marketing Director Europe, within the Marketing Leadership Team in delivering initiatives, programmes and day-to-day management support to the following areas:

Traffic - Email Marketing, SEO/SEA Marketing, Affiliates, Partnership Marketing

CRM and Customer Lifecycle management

Brand Management – Visual and Written

Creative & design delivery (not website design or UX)

Loyalty

Customer Insights

Work alongside Head of Publishing / Publishing Senior lead to support the continued management and delivery of their publishing model covering the following areas:

Social Media and related influencer/blogger programs

Editorial Team

PR and Sponsorship

Partnerships - Delivery of the Marketing Calendar & supporting cohesion with the Retail Marketing team

This role will partner with:

The rest of the Marketing team

Online Merchandising team (who own promotional decisions)

Retail Marketing Team

Executive team

Customer Experience Team (Operations)

Specific appointed Marketing Suppliers and Agencies

What sort of people are we looking for?

A self-starter experienced in making and/or supporting advanced decisions relating to all areas of Marketing. Must be Customer Focused and analytical, able to identify required data to drive actions to deliver increased responsiveness from our client's Customer base and extended reach opportunities. In addition, this role must specifically:

Provide service leadership related to Marketing across the business

Ensure that all marketing opportunities, channels and initiatives are delivered effectively, efficiently and consistently, whether direct or indirect

It is important that you are accessible and approachable for other employees, seen as an adviser and key point of contact, to provide high-quality advice and guidance to solve any problems that may arise – both from delivery and strategic perspectives

Problem solve, this will be a big part of the job, so the ability to think on your feet is a must.

As the Head of Marketing, you will support the Director, the broader SMT and CEO’s Management team with their duties and work within the Marketing leadership team to maintain the collective work to a good standard
