Who is our client?
Our client is a growing and reputable Distribution business and they are currently expanding rapidly. In this challenging and rewarding position you will be deployed within the client's Head Office function providing support and delivery of key business objectives. My client urgently requires an individual who will manage the day-to-day relationships with multiple stakeholders / suppliers. The role requires extensive UK travel as you look to meet with both internal and external teams.
The role requirements
For this role you will need to demonstrate key account / contract management experience gained in a similar, customer focused, fast paced and highly pressurised Retail Logistics environment.
You will align the ‘Commercial Strategy’ to support the delivery of business objectives.
You will develop relationships within this major blue chip e-commerce client, whilst acquiring a thorough understanding of the customer’s needs and requirements.
You will prepare regular reports of progress and forecasts to internal and external stakeholders using key account metrics.
You will expand the relationship by continuously proposing solutions that meet their business needs.
You will look to maintain and further develop this excellent customer relationship based on timely, consistent and effective communication.
What sort of people are we looking for?
You have demonstrable experience of contract / key account management in a transport / distribution environment.
You have a passion for encouraging teamwork, an innovative approach to leadership and developing new ways of improving performance
You ideally hold a National or International CPC qualification.
You are used to working in a fast paced and highly pressurised FMCG / retail logistics environment with an excellent knowledge of all aspects of transport and legislation.
You have the ability to be able to think and act both strategically and tactically
You are inquisitive and have a proactive yet methodical approach to your work.
You are able to ensure new ideas and initiatives work.
