Who is our client?

Our client is a growing and reputable Distribution business and they are currently expanding rapidly. In this challenging and rewarding position you will be deployed at their site in the NW, providing support and delivery of key business objectives as well as new business opportunities. My client urgently requires an individual who will manage the day-to-day relationships with key clients and someone who is happy to also win new business further down the line as the company looks to grow.

The role requirements

For this role you will need to demonstrate key account / contract management experience in a similar, customer focused, fast paced Logistics environment.

You will work on the ‘Commercial Strategy’ to support the delivery of new business objectives.

You will look to develop relationships within existing clients, whilst also acquiring a thorough understanding of their needs and requirements.

You will prepare forecast reports to internal and external stakeholders using key account metrics.

You will look to expand the relationship by proposing additional solutions that meet their business needs.

You will look to maintain and further develop this excellent customer relationship based on timely, consistent and effective communication

What sort of people are we looking for?

You have demonstrable experience of contract / key account management and business development in a transport / distribution environment.

You have a passion for encouraging teamwork, an innovative approach to leadership and developing new ways of improving performance

You ideally hold a National or International CPC qualification.

You are used to working in a fast paced and highly pressurised Logistics environment with an excellent knowledge of all aspects of warehousing and distribution.

You have the ability to be able to think and act both strategically and tactically.

You are inquisitive and have a proactive yet methodical approach to your work.

You are able to ensure new ideas and initiatives work.
