Who is our client?
Our client is a growing and reputable Distribution business and they are currently seeking a seasoned ‘Key Client’ manager with direct retail logistics industry experience. In this challenging and rewarding position you will be expected to create a shared vision, energise others, challenge the status quo and drive change. My client urgently requires an individual who will manage the day-to-day relationships with multiple stakeholders / clients across various sectors (incl. but not limited to) retail / fashion / homeware / leisurewear / food and general merchandise.
The role requirements
For this role you will need to demonstrate previous key client / account management expertise gained in a similar, customer focused, FMCG / Retail / Distribution environment.
You will align the commercial strategy, supporting the delivery of business objectives across a number of key clients / accounts.
You will ensure that the business maintains and develops relationships within their ‘key customers’ by acquiring a thorough understanding of their needs and requirements.
You will serve as the link of communication between key customers and the internal teams within the business.
You will contribute to the development of new and enhanced customer propositions.
You will play an integral part in generating new sales that will turn into long-lasting key client relationships.
What sort of people are we looking for?
You have demonstrable experience in a similar role ideally managing large, omni-channel key retail clients.
You are very well networked and able to demonstrate the ability to develop strong and lasting commercial relationships via your customer focussed approach.
You have demonstrable experience in a Logistics business with a high level of commercial acumen.
You have a proven track record of delivering/improving sales performance with your key clients.
You are used to working in a fast paced and highly pressurised FMCG / Retail Distribution and possess a high achievement drive.
You have the ability to be able to think and act both strategically and tactically.
