Who is our client?

Our client is a leading, multisite food manufacturing business supplying a broad range of products to most of the major UK retailers. Due to continued growth, they’re now looking for an electrically biased engineer to join their maintenance team and play a key role in driving performance and improving reliability.

The role requirements

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be part of a team responsible for planned/reactive maintenance across a fast paced food production site, working to ensure a high level of service is provided to the business at all times.

You will undertake PPM tasks, respond to breakdowns and also who collaboratively with colleagues in engineering and production on CI projects to improve overall performance and reduce downtime.

Shift Pattern - 4 on/off (4 days/4nights)

What sort of people are we looking for?

You will be apprentice trained, electrically biased engineer (ideally HNC or above) with prior experience of working in maintenance roles in the food and drinks industry.

You will have experience of a number of modern manufacturing techniques and continuous improvement methodologies (eg, 5S, SMED, TPM).

Proactive in your approach, you will be somebody who enjoys looking for new, improved ways of working and is prepared to challenge the status quo in order to deliver improvements.

Experience of fault finding using PLC’s would be an advantage.
