Who is our client?
Our client is a leading food manufacturing business producing a broad range of leading branded and retailer own label products. Part of a wider group, they’re now looking for an electrically biased engineer to join their maintenance team at one of their key production sites and play a key role in maintaining and improving engineering reliability.
The role requirements
Working as part of the site engineering maintenance team you will be responsible for the ongoing maintenance of a range of manufacturing and packaging equipment across a high volume, fast paced food business.
You will follow PPM schedules and also respond quickly to breakdowns to minimise downtime and ensure a high level of service is provided.
You will partake in CI and RCA initiatives, constantly looking for new and improved ways of working in order to drive engineering asset reliability and performance.
Shift patterns - Continental (combination of days/nights)
What sort of people are we looking for?
You will be an apprentice trained, electrically biased engineer, preferably with further relevant qualifications (HNC or higher, 17th Edition) with prior experience of working in maintenance roles in food, drink or FMCG manufacturing.
In addition to your planned/reactive experience, you will have a sound knowledge and understanding of a range of tools, techniques and methodologies (5S, Lean, Kaizen, TPM).
You will have proven PLC fault finding experience, with knowledge of Siemens S5/S7 being an advantage.
Confident in your approach, you will be comfortable challenging the status-quo and will also be able to coach and train colleagues in engineering and production.
