Who is our client?

We’re working with an established food manufacturing business undergoing a period of growth and change. As a result, they’re now looking for two maintenance engineers (electrical bias) to join their team and play a key role in driving engineering reliability and performance.

The role requirements

Working as part of the engineering maintenance team, you will be responsible for planned and reactive maintenance tasks, working to minimise downtime and maximise reliability.

You will work closely with colleagues in operations/production, responding quickly to breakdowns and other unexpected issues in order to provide a high level of service to the business.

You will also get involved in CI projects, looking for new and improved ways of working and putting corrective actions in place to reduce recurring issues.

Shift pattern: 4 on/off (2 days/nights) but with no night shift on Saturday.

What sort of people are we looking for?

You will be an apprentice trained, electrically biased Engineer with good mechanical skills and experience of working in maintenance roles in a food, drink or FMCG manufacturing environment.

Further qualifications (ONC/HNC or above) would be an advantage.

Good PLC experience would be an advantage; you won’t need to be able to programme but you will know how to fault find and diagnose issues.

Proactive in your approach, you will be keen to be involved in CI and Capex projects and look for innovative ways of addressing engineering problems.
