Who is our client?

We’re working with an established food manufacturing business which supplies a broad range of products to a number of major retailer and foodservice customers. They’re now looking for a couple of maintenance engineers to join them with both days based and shift based positions available.

The role requirements

Working as part of the engineering maintenance team, you will be responsible for planned and reactive maintenance tasks, working to minimise downtime and maximise reliability.

Most of your work with be focused on planned maintenance but you will also be responsible for responding quickly and effectively to breakdowns and unexpected engineering issues.

You will also get involved in CI projects, looking for new and improved ways of working and putting corrective actions in place to reduce recurring issues.

Shift patterns: Monday to Friday (0700-1600) or rotating days (0600-1800) options are available.

What sort of people are we looking for?

You will ideally be a time-served, apprentice trained engineer with a mechanical or multi-skilled background with experience of working in planned and reactive maintenance roles.

Further qualifications (HNC/HND) would be an advantage.

Experience of working in food, drink of FMCG manufacturing would be ideal but our client will also consider good engineers from other industries.

Proactive in your approach, you will be somebody who enjoys challenging the status quo and working as part of a team in order to implement changes and improvements.
