Who is our client?

Our client is a global FMCG business producing a well known range of market leading brands. This site has gone through a major investment programme over the last 5 years which has seen production increase significantly and they’re now looking for a high calibre engineer to join their maintenance team. The role requirements

Working as part of the site engineering maintenance team you will be responsible for the ongoing maintenance of a range of packaging equipment across a high volume, fast paced manufacturing business.

You will take part in Continuous Improvement initiatives, working to drive performance and minimise downtime, as well as following PPM schedules and responding swiftly to breakdowns and other unexpected issues.

You will work closely with colleagues in operations, coaching and training them to identify and remedy minor faults and helping to embed the site’s autonomous maintenance programme.

Shift Pattern - Days (Monday to Friday)

What sort of people are we looking for?

You will be an apprentice trained, electrically biased Engineer (ideally HNC or above) with experience of working in maintenance roles in food, drink or FMCG manufacturing. Experience of fault finding PLCs (Allen Bradley/Siemens) would be an advantage.

You will be proactive in your approach and will be somebody with a CI mentality who enjoys looking for new, more efficient ways of working.

Knowledge and experience of using a range of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques, with an understanding of TPM being ideal.

Health & Safety is paramount, so will be able to talk about times when you’ve helped to implement and/or improve H&S standards.
