We’re working with a major food manufacturer who, as a result of ongoing growth, is looking for a graduate-level Development Technologists to join their NPD team. The business works with all of the major retailers and is always looking to bring new products to the market to ensure they remain as one of the leaders in their field. Reporting to the NPD Manager you will work as part of a growing team responsible for developing products from initial concept through to launch.

You will be working with and developing products for a key retailer customer and the role is varied so you’ll be producing samples, working on specifications, maintaining relevant documentation, leading trials and acting as a key point of contact for the customer.

You will also be supporting the technical function and working closely with colleagues in production and engineering to ensure products are delivered on time and at agreed costs/specifications.

Full training and support will be provided and these roles are viewed as an excellent development opportunity for somebody looking to develop a long term career in NPD.

You will ideally be educated to degree level in Food Science and similar, with at least one years’ NPD or Process Development experience. Any other relevant qualifications (eg; HACCP, Food Safety) would be an advantage.

This is a busy, varied position so our client is looking for somebody who is organised, able to prioritise workloads and ensure that tight deadlines can be met.

The role involves a lot of interaction with colleagues at all levels across the business and you’ll also be a key point of contact for customers so strong communication and presentation skills will be required.
