Who is our client?
Our client are a leading, niche online retailer and well known throughout northern Europe having been in the market for over 70 years. They are looking to expand their online presence into new territories and in 2018 launched a brand new UK team to facilitate this global growth plan.
The role requirements
The primary purpose of this role is to increase our client's sales, margins and their website conversion rate through designing a detailed trading plan for the territories being managed and Merchandising their website to optimise conversion.
You will be a member of the Online Trading team working with other online traders and merchandisers
You will be responsible for the following areas:
Take on ownership for Trading decisions relating to their European markets, with a focus on delivering revenue growth, increasing conversion and delivering expected margin levels
Provide Analysis and Reporting of all trading activities in your markets
Support and help drive their growth into new Markets, act as Business Project Lead and then take on management of many of these markets
Support the Trading team in devising the trading plan for all other markets, especially while Trading Managers are yet to be appointed
Take ownership of Product Recommendation and up-sell tools on their websites within specified markets
Devise and own the promotional plan within specified markets
Join Project team for launch of new Hybrid site
Work on a variety of eCommerce marketing activities across our business while they are in startup mode to support all business activities
This JD will be built out and reviewed throughout your employment with a more specific list of tasks aligned to the role.
This role will partner with:
The rest of the Online trading team
Website Management team (who manage site materials and creation of promotions)
CRM team (who manage emails, design and driving LTV)
Digital Marketing Team (who are responsible for driving all non-email traffic)
Social Media and Editorial Team
Above the line Marketing Team
Retail Team to ensure omni-channel activities are supported
This role will ideally be based in their central London Office and reports to the Head of Online Trading or Head of Ecommerce, until one of these roles is recruited the role will report into the CEO
What sort of people are we looking for?
A self-starter, experienced in working on own initiative and managing complex relationships with Buying, Ecommerce and Marketing teams.
Must have advanced analytical in order to report on, understand and develop trading plans.
Must be an organised leader used to delivering to strict deadlines.
Must be Customer Focused and analytical, able to identify required data to drive actions to deliver increased responsiveness from their Customer base.
