Who is our client?
My client is a leading distributor of construction related products and they are seeking to appoint an Operations Supervisor / Team Leader immediately. You will be working out of their busy distribution hub in the Swindon area. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the optimisation of Operations within your area.
The role requirements
You must at all time, provide a high level of service to all customers (both internal and external)
You will ensure a Zero Harm Culture for Health and Safety across your operation.
You will lead an established team of circa 5+.
You will monitor and maintain health and safety procedures.
You will allocate work effectively through the full utilisation of staff.
You will be accountable for stock checks and ensure that these are completed with no errors.
You will look to constantly strive to improve productivity and continuous improvement at the site.
You will monitor and ensure KPI's are met for you and the team.
What sort of people are we looking for?
The successful candidate will have some experience in a busy distribution / warehouse or logistics environment.
You possess a vibrant and energetic personality with a desire to develop.
You ideally have some previous Warehouse / Operations team leader experience.
You understand how to deliver continuous improvement and implement operational efficiencies into the warehouse.
You have some knowledge of Health and Safety requirements / legislation.
You can demonstrate experience of working win a similar warehouse / branch operation.
You are self-motivated and can work on his/her own for part of the day if required with the ability to prioritise and multitask.
Previous experience within stock control would be advantageous.
You have excellent communication, organisation and time-management skills.
