Who is our client?

Our client are a leading blue chip construction products / supplies business and they are looking to appoint a Pricing Manager immediately to support the Head of Pricing. You will be based at head office in South Yorkshire and will have management responsibility for 10 staff. You will take ownership for delivering the Pricing Strategy, ensuring the successful implementation & best practice across the business. This role will suit an ambitious person who wants to work for a business with genuine opportunities for continued career progression.

The role requirements

You will report directly to the Head of Pricing, with responsibility for leading a team of Regional Pricing Managers, Pricing Administrators and Analysts.

You will provide clear directives and support to the administrative team, along with development plans.

As you will be managing 4 x Regional Pricing Managers, you will drive the pricing strategy to maximise profitability and drive best practice across the business.

You will need to develop, execute and maintain processes in direct response to market conditions and competitor price movements.

You will also provide vital support to the Head of Pricing in leading process improvements and developing communications for all pricing matters (internal and externally).

You will work closely with the product and procurement teams ensuring any changes are fed through quickly and effectively to the business.

You will work closely with the analysts to ensure continuous improvement within data and processes etc.

What sort of people are we looking for?

You have proven previous experience leading and executing price strategies ideally in a large, complex, multi-channel business.

You have proven commercial acumen and demonstrable experience of delivering results by successfully executing price change/strategies.

You have a strong statistical background with the ability to manipulate data via spreadsheets.

You have the ability to present complex pricing methodologies in a ‘simple to understand’ way ensuring quick and effective decision making.

Ideally you can also demonstrate strong stakeholder management and influencing skills at a senior level.
