Who is our client?

Our client is a growing and reputable 3rd Party Logistics business, specialising in the FMCG / Retail industry and they are currently expanding rapidly. They're looking for someone with demonstrable experience of delivering / implementing projects in a fast-paced warehouse / distribution / logistics environment. This role requires you to drive IT and operationally related projects from inception to completion using one (or more) project delivery methodologies.

The role requirements

You will drive internal and external resources to deliver projects on time and to budget with a business-wide remit.

You will work closely with IT, leading the planning and implementation of projects with both IT and operational dependencies.

You will facilitate the definition of project scope, its goals and the ‘deliverables’.

You will need to define project tasks and resource requirements, as well as supporting the scheduling and allocation of project resources.

You will constantly monitor and report on the progress of the “project” to all stakeholders on an ongoing basis, by delivering concise and up to date communications.

What sort of people are we looking for?

The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience of project managing multiple concurrent projects.

You have demonstrable experience of working in a fast-paced software delivery environment and with complex, highly integrated IT systems.

You ideally have experience of working in an enterprise level organisation in the delivery of both IT related and operationally related projects in a Distribution environment.

You have strong communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels across the business via your influencing, motivating and leading leadership style.

You ideally have experience in leading management teams in applying the Prince2 methodology and measuring inputs and outputs to provide meaningful data.

You have experience of agile software development frameworks, such as scrum or similar.
