Who is our client?
Our client is a growing and reputable 3rd Party Distribution business and they are currently expanding rapidly. In this challenging and rewarding position you will play a critical role in managing the health and safety at locations across the North of England and require an individual who will be responsible for the H&S of all employees within their operational functions.
The role requirements
You will develop and drive initiatives to deliver a ‘Zero Harm’ culture as well as driving health and safety projects across the business.
You will provide definitive advice and guidance relating to all health and safety matters across your sites.
You will review and audit arrangements for all health & safety matters and continuously improve these where appropriate.
You will drive a behavioural safety culture change programme across the operation.
You will engage with all operational teams to ensure adherence to all health and safety policies and conduct safety inspections.
You will manage the safety training requirements at each site by designing and delivering appropriate training interventions.
You will assist in retaining all current Health and Safety accreditations and work towards the attainment of new relevant accreditations. .
What sort of people are we looking for?
You are qualified to NEBOSH Diploma level (or equivalent) with significant H&S Management experience.
You have at least 3 years experience in a Health and Safety Management Role with experience in a similar warehouse / distribution environment.
You are ideally a chartered member of IOSH or equivalent.
You are credible with strong influencing skills (and strategies) to enable you to build buy-in to change across the business.
It would be hugely advantageous if you can also demonstrate Lean, 5S and Kaizen experience.
