Shift Manager

Our client is an established food manufacturing business producing a number of well known, leading brands. They also supply a broad range of own label products to most of the major retailers. Part of a wider group, they are now looking for a Technical Manager to join the leadership team at one of their key production sites.

Working as part of a large manufacturing team you will be responsible for managing a team of around 50 operators in a fast paced production environment.

You will be responsible for meeting all KPI’s (volume, waste, efficiencies, hygiene) are achieved while ensuring that health & safety is paramount.

You will use your knowledge and experience of Lean manufacturing tools and techniques (eg, Kaizen, 5S, 5Y) to improve performance and efficiencies.

You will support the Production Manager and wider operational team in the implementation of the site’s lean programme.

You will have previous experience of leading teams in a food or drink manufacturing business, although other FMCG backgrounds will be considered.

You will have a proven background in achieving KPIs and targets.

Confident in your approach, you will be able to lead and motivate teams of operators and identify areas of improvement or further training.

You will ideally have some CI and/or Lean manufacturing background. Formal qualifications (eg, Six Sigma Yellow/Green Belt) would be an advantage.
