Who is our client?
Are you a Shift Manager with experience of working in food/drink/FMCG manufacturing? Do you have strong leadership skills and a background in Lean & CI? Would you be interested in joining a growing business where you will have the opportunity to drive cultural change and make significant improvements?
We’re working with an established, well regarded food/drink business which produces a range of branded products and also co-packs for a number of other manufacturers.
The role requirements
Reporting to the Production Manager, you will lead a team of around 20 staff and will be responsible for ensuring all personal and team targets/KPIs are achieved.
You will lead improvement projects and will play a key role in driving change across the site by improving line efficiencies, reducing changeover times and reducing waste.
You will coach and mentor your team and work with them to implement a culture of continuous improvement, constantly looking for new and more effective ways of working.
You will ensure that a safe working environment is maintained at all times, working closely with your team to challenge and address any potential issues or non-conformance.
What sort of people are we looking for?
You will have experience of leading shift production teams in a food, drink or FMCG manufacturing environment and a proven track record in developing people and leading change.
You will be a ‘hands on’ manager who is able to influence and motivate individuals and teams.
You will have knowledge and experience of a number of manufacturing tools and methodologies (Lean, 5S, TPM).
Experience of managing teams in a unionised environment would be ideal, but is not essential.
