Who is our client?

We're working with an established, multi-site food manufacturer which produces a broad range of branded and retailer label products. In addition to working with all of the major retailers, they also supply into a number of other food businesses. They’re now looking for two Shift Production Managers to join one of their key manufacturing sites and play a key role in driving performance.

The role requirements

Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager you will be responsible for the management of a multi-skilled production team, working to ensure that all departmental KPIs and objectives are met.

You will work coach and develop your team, working closely with them to identify training opportunities.

You will promote a culture of continuous improvement and will lead CI projects and initiatives in order to drive performance and improve line efficiencies and changeover times.

You will ensure that a strong ‘safety first’ environment is maintained by leading by example and challenging any non-conformance.

There are two shift patterns available: Monday to Friday: rotating 0700-1500/1500-2300 or nights 2300-0700.

What sort of people are we looking for?

We’re keen to hear from people with experience of leading production teams in a food manufacturing environment and a track record in achieving targets and developing people.

You will be results driven with demonstrable experience of leading and managing change and using your lean manufacturing knowledge to deliver improvements and reduce costs and waste.

Confident in your approach, you will be able to work with a high level of autonomy and influence colleagues at all levels.

You will be able to talk about improvements you’ve made around Health & Safety, with formal H&S qualifications (IOSH/NEBOSH) being an advantage.
