Who is our client?

Our client ,are an ambitious, well established and successful Waste Management company, due to growth they are now looking to employ a Site Chemist to join their expanding team. The Client are looking for someone who is degree educated in chemistry or a related subject who has experience within the waste industry process Chemicals. The role of the Site Chemist will be accountable for checking labels, completing paperwork and covering all of the despatch of hazardous and non-hazardous wastes. This is a fast paced and challenging role with a forward thinking leading waste management company who can offer a rewarding career for the right person.

The role requirements

Sampling and checking of containerised waste.

Assist in coordinating the activities of operations as appropriate so as to ensure safe and productive working.

Preparation of waste labels for incoming and outgoing wastes.

Compatibility testing and batching of waste materials for processing.

Checking and completion of incoming and outgoing waste paperwork.

To provide 'hands on' assistance on site wherever necessary.

Attended appointments in order to fully understand customer requirements.

To liaise with clients (both internal and external) at all levels.

To assist in ensuring appropriate process monitoring.

To assist the Site Manager in ensuring compliance with the Company's Health and Safety.

To ensure relevant records are maintained and adherence to systems and procedures.

Monitor key financial drivers such as quantity and quality of residues produced, time taken in processing and resources used.

To assist site management producing detailed reports as required by business needs.

What sort of people are we looking for?

HND or higher in Chemistry (or related subject).

Waste Management experience.

Computer literate.

Ability to work to health and safety standards at all times.

Ability to working within a team and on your own using your initiative.

Computer literate with fluency in all Microsoft applications.

Able to work shifts - Some weekend work may be required.
