Our client is an established, multi-site food manufacturing business supplying a broad range of products to most of the major retailers. This role is based at one of their key production sites and, following a recent promotion, they’re now looking for a new specifications technologist to join their Technical team. Working as part of the site Technical team, you will be responsible for ensuring all specifications are accurate and completed to strict timescales.

You’ll work closely with colleagues across the business (eg - Production, NPD, Technical) to ensure information is readily available and accurately recorded.

You’ll be involved in artwork approval and dealing with suppliers and retailer enquiries.

This is a fast paced role in a business producing chilled, multi-component products so an ability to work quickly and accurately is essential.

We’re keen to hear from Specifications Technologists with demonstrable experience of maintaining a range of retailer systems (Asda would be an advantage but is not essential).

You will ideally be Degree or HND qualified in a food related discipline with other relevant training and qualifications (HACCP, Food Hygiene etc.) being an advantage.

Confident in your approach, you will have strong interpersonal skills and be comfortable working cross-functionally with colleagues at all levels.

You will have demonstrable knowledge of current food/labelling legislation.
