Our client is a large parcels distribution business and they are currently undertaking a sustained period of growth and transformation. As a Supply Chain Network Designer you will be supporting, testing, informing strategy and participating in a range of diverse projects and you will be instrumental in developing the tactical and strategic modelling as well as the optimisation and simulations capabilities within this newly created Network Strategy team. You must have demonstrable experience with cutting edge network modelling software (ideally Llamasoft) as you will be responsible for the development of a range of models and simulations. In this role you will be responsible for operating the network modelling software and be responsible for the development of a range of models and simulations within it.

You will build and validate models (tactical and strategic), running various design scenarios and simulations.

You will continually develop the in-house modelling capability.

You will look to build relationships with key stakeholders and engage with them throughout the process of developing evolving supply chain network designs / solutions.

You will need to prepare input to periodic planning cycles and undertake strategy reviews.

You will periodically refresh the strategic and tactical models.

You will complete ad hoc ‘what if’ analysis and project manage as necessary

You are passionate, resilient and able to produce work to high standard ensuring the detail is robust and presented in the way that is appropriate to the relevant audience

You posses strong mathematical, analytical and numerical skills

You have good supply chain planning and design knowledge ideally

You can ideally demonstrate optimisation, simulation, forecasting and project management skills

You have demonstrable strong database knowledge, SQL would be advantageous / desirable

You can demonstrate an analytical aptitude as you will provide insights and answers whilst working in modelling software etc

You have creative problem solving skills

You are comfortable engaging with stakeholders cross functionally at all levels.
