VDP Programmer

Our client is a highly successful and rapidly growing international print management organisation with offices all over the world. Recent, significant contract wins have propelled them to be one of the leading names in marketing procurement in the UK.

Our client is now looking to take on an experienced VDP Programmer (Variable Data Print) to take assist with one of their clients’ needs based in Wakefield. You will carry out the day-to-day data related operational activity.

You will health check daily data files sent via FTP, secure email and SFTP.

You will process and cleanse data using domestic and international address software.

You will provide advanced document composition using VDP software.

You will produce print ready PDF’s for various suppliers.

You will communicate with various account managers/directors from different client accounts throughout the UK.

You must have a experience using data processing systems e.g. Cygnus.

You must have significant experience of using VDP systems like XMPie, UProduce & GMC Inspire.

You will be fluent with Adobe Creative Suite.

You will have a strong understanding of IT project management techniques.

You will have a full understanding of direct mail and print on demand processes specifically variable data print and mail sortation.

You will have knowledge of various data laws both domestic and global - not essential.

You must be a great communicator, with the ability to work with, inspire and lead a range of different people within the organisation.

You will be a great problem solver with an ability to think on your feet.

You will be IT literate and be able to learn new systems.
