Warehouse Supervisor

Our client is a large distributor of building and construction supplies and they are currently recruiting for this key role. They are looking to immediately appoint a Warehouse Supervisor for their site in Lewes. You can demonstrate previous warehouse leadership experience in a fast-paced warehouse / distribution / logistics environment. You will work in a fast, rewarding and progressive environment where you will be encouraged to learn and develop yourself and others

You will deliver a safe, high quality, and customer focused service at all times and in accordance with the H&S policy.

You will oversee the warehouse layout to ensure site efficiency and best practice.

You will amend the in-house systems with regards to branch and stock updates.

You will ensure stock is managed effectively and stored safely at all times.

You will develop a culture of respect and high performance within your team.

You will develop strong management capability through effective performance management, coaching, mentor and the development of teams and individuals.

You will be responsible for a number of direct line reports and you will ensure that members of your wider team act in accordance with all H&S principles.

You will promote core values and act as a role model for teams and individuals.

As the successful candidate you can demonstrate a minimum of 2 years’ experience across warehousing and people leadership/management.

You have experience of leading a team through a period of change.

You have a strong emphasis on performance management and performance improvement.

You are flexible with the ability to work on your own initiative.

You possess good IT skills, with good knowledge of Warehouse Systems.

You ideally are in possession of a valid FLT Counterbalance Certificate.

You have good working knowledge of current legislation as well as health and safety requirements as you promote a zero harm culture.

You have a high sense of urgency and personal integrity.
