Who is our client?
My client are an industry leading designer and manufacturer of specialist workplace safety products and they are immediately seeking to appoint a Website Manager. Reporting into the Head of International Marketing you will be based at their HQ in West Yorkshire. The successful candidate will have central ownership for the company websites. Including ensuring up to date and accurate information is being displayed, monitoring user engagement and conversion metrics, and continuously improving the website efficiency across all countries (and languages!).
The role requirements
Managing current and future international websites, including the content, on-page optimisations to maximise SEO and conversion, ensuring content is up to date and accurate.
Publishing new products and new content to all websites globally.
Ensuring the websites are user friendly, analysing the users and how they utilise and navigate the website to ensure the website works efficiently for them, using this information to make improvements to the website.
Managing the implementation of on-page and new content to all websites.
Conducting tests regularly to ensure each website displays correctly across all platforms, including desktop, tablet and mobile. Make the amendments necessary to ensure optimum performance.
Liaising with the website agency to constantly improve and develop the website, correct any bugs and ensure any problems are quickly rectified.
Planning and managing translations from the subsidiaries and liaising between all stakeholders to ensure schedule and deadlines are understood and met.
Proactively work with the content teams and SEO Managers to generate new website content to improve SEO and conversions.
Be brand aware, know the industry, the business, its products and its competitors.
What sort of people are we looking for?
You have 3-5 years experience in website management.
3-5 years experience of one or more CMS, making complex updates, error free and promptly.
Proven experience in conversion rate optimisation.
A good understanding of SEO and the experience to back it up.
Confident in using Google Tag Manager.
Strong understanding of Google Analytics, data analysis and reporting.
Confident across all Microsoft packages, particularly Excel.
You must have strong numerical skills, be analytical with an ability to spot patterns, gaps and repetitions in web content.
You must be a hands-on manager, happy to lead by example.
Ability to translate ideas into actions.
You must be an excellent planner and have top organisational skills.
A bonus would be any working experience in HTML/CSS, B2B, CRM and a good understanding of the industry.
